Her mission is to steal the secret ingredient from the Life Is Sweet candy factory. We know right from the beginning that Daisy Carpenter is a spy. But the real question is this: Does Miles really know what he has seen, not just what he thinks he has seen? He speaks gibberish (well, unless you know his secret code, that is) and is overly concerned with the afterlife. Logan learns that someone is trying to steal the factory’s secret ingredient! He’s been experimenting with them for years. He knows all about the processes involved. You might think that as the son of a family of candy makers, Logan would have the definite advantage. ![]() In fact, since the factory stopped giving public tours years earlier when a child threw a toy truck into one of the machines, Logan hardly sees any other kids at all. He has spent most of his life in the factory. Like his name suggests, Logan is a sweet kid. ![]() Logan Sweet is the son of the factory owners. The four contestants have been chosen and there could not be four more unlikely children. The goal, of course, is to come up with the best new candy. The Life Is Sweet candy factory has held a contest in which four lucky winners will get to compete in a candy-making competition. It’s just that it seemed like an appropriate way to start the candy season. ![]() It’s not scary, though it does include a mystery. The people featured in How the States Got Their Shapes Too lived from the colonial era right up to the present. This personal element in the boundary stories reveals how we today are like those who came before us, and how we differ, and most significantly: how their collective stories reveal not only an historical arc but, as importantly, the often overlooked human dimension in that arc that leads to the nation we are today. How the States Got Their Shapes Too follows How the States Got Their Shapes looks at American history through the lens of its borders, but, while How The States Got Their Shapes told us why, this book tells us who. Was Roger Williams too pure for the Puritans, and what does that have to do with Rhode Island? Why did Augustine Herman take ten years to complete the map that established Delaware? How did Rocky Mountain rogues help create the state of Colorado? All this and more is explained in Mark Stein's new book. ![]() 5/20/2023 0 Comments The push by ashley audrain summary![]() ![]() And for those of us motherhood doesn’t exactly come natural to, the ones hesitant to hold friend’s babies and such (you know who you are), this feeling is a bit more pronounced. There’s this prevailing notion that the bond between mother and child is natural and inevitable, but sometimes this isn’t the case. I have a feeling in the history of motherhood there hasn’t been one mother who hasn’t worried that she wouldn’t feel an instant connection to her child prior to giving birth. It is impossible to know, but Weir provides a compelling portrait of who she might have been, addressing head on, as she does, one of the most puzzling and difficult aspects of Jane’s story - her rapid replacement of Anne Boleyn. Her short marriage and early death provide a relatively blank canvas for the novelist to draw on – which Alison Weir does with relish! Little is known about this daughter of a Wiltshire gentry family who served as a maid of honour to Katharine of Aragon in the final years of her marriage to Henry VIII, when Anne Boleyn’s star was on the rise. She was supported, or thrust forward, depending on the view, by the machinations of her power-hungry family, dutifully providing the longed-for son, and dying young, before she could make her mark on history, or indeed, fall foul of Henry. ![]() ![]() Jane Seymour is a pale and somewhat shadowy figure in the colourful collection of Henry VIII's wives - the pious and amenable one who captured Henry’s attention by being the antithesis of Anne Boleyn. ![]() 5/19/2023 0 Comments The conscious parent dr shefali![]() ![]() And if you have ever gotten any value from this podcast, and I know you will today, please do me a favor and go over to Apple Podcasts or Spotify and leave us a rating and.
